JND mourns the passing of Karen B. Shaer, our partner for many years at The Garden City Group (“GCG”). Beyond her contributions at Garden City Group, Karen had a remarkable legal career that included service as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York and, most recently, as Governor Hochul's Deputy Secretary for Public Safety. Those who knew Karen will remember her warmth, her energy, and her generosity. She will be deeply missed.
